Kuju Announces Rail Simulator's Partnership Licence scheme
Skrevet af jraaby, 31/10-2006 21:12 (#1)

A key part of Kuju's plans for rail Simulator are around supporting both the community and commercial add-on providers. As part of that support, this article outlines the partnership licence scheme which Kuju is proposing to use to provide that support to commercial partners.

A big attraction for many Rail Simulator players is that they will be able to obtain high quality add-ons from a variety of commercial sources, in addition to any community freeware created using the Rail Simulator Editors.

As part of Kuju's commitment to the Rail Simulator community, we will be implementing a formal partnership scheme for commercial products aimed at ensuring that only high quality fully functional add-ons are produced. Kuju have been working with several of the major add-on providers for the past 6 months to come up with a licence scheme that we believe is to the mutual benefit of all parties. This announcement outlines the principles behind the Rail Simulator Partnership Licence Scheme. It also sets out unequivocally our support for freeware add-ons and makes explicit that Kuju will not be placing any restrictions upon freeware.

Basically, commercial add-on providers have to have products approved by Kuju.

Freeware will be shared on http://www.railsimulator.com, but unlike Trainz the license will allow distribution from other websites such as http://www.tog-sim.dk and http://www.train-sim.org.

Hvad betyder "unequivocally" ??

"Unequivocally" is equivalent to "without any conditions" => "ubetinget"
(unequivocal = "unambiguous" )

Maybe that clarifies some more, but Bjarke was basically correct.

Ah, "ubetinget" er helt perfekt i den sammenhæng Smile
